Letters of Gratitude
The Brook Hospital
Staff helps patient out of a dark place
Your genuine care for my overall health was beyond refreshing. You pulled me out of a very dark place and for that, I am eternally grateful.
I know that to come to this job is not easy, and you don’t just “show up.” You give your everything daily. You’ve sacrificed a lot by being so unselfish and giving. However, your spirit and hearts have been enriched with light that beams on in everyone around you.
I’ve felt the warmth of that light. It was a comforting ray of sunshine that helped save my life. Your strength is beautiful. Your heart is lovely. You are so appreciated. You are rich in everlasting love.
McAllen Medical Center
Fearful of COVID-19, patient has an experience to remember
I was afraid to go into the ER due to everything going on with the quickening spread of COVID-19. Unfortunately, I had an acute hypertensive crisis that was life threatening; and my PCP ordered me to go directly to the ER.
When I arrived, the ER was completely under control and a well structured process was in place to prevent the spread of the virus as much as humanly/ethically possible.
The hospital ambassador and nurses made my stay (alone, without my family being able to visit) an experience that words can’t describe. They reassured me that I was going to be well taken care of and I am appreciative of them for following through with their promise.
Today I was able to come home feeling better; I will continue to practice social distancing.
Poplar Springs Hospital
Dedication and guidance of staff has positive impact
Thank you for all that you do—your dedication and guidance have impacted everyone here at Poplar Springs. Your hard work does not go unnoticed. I want you to know that the staff truly did aid in my positive rehabilitation. All of you have such kind and warming personalities, it’s such a blessing to have met all of you.
You treat everyone of us as people and not some broken, lost cause. I remember before I got here, I would pray that I didn’t wake up. Thank you for giving me my life back. I enjoy the day versus waiting for it to end. More importantly you gave my kids their Mom back. Even though they might not remember anything, I will remember everything.
Each day has beauty in it and I thank you all for helping me remember that. I may not be who I was before, but I am who I am going to be now.
Please know that I have a special place in my heart and mind for you all. You will always be on my gratitude list every morning.
Peace, Love and Happiness.
Prominence Health Plan
Prominence Health Plan team helps member company with a creative solution with their new employees
One of the things that I love about working at [my company] is that we live by a set of Core Values in our decisions. We look for our vendors & suppliers to share in these values too. Prominence Health Plan helped us realize and put one of them into action: ‘Take Care of Others.’
During the COVID-19 crisis, it became critical for our newer employees to be enrolled in health insurance. We were struggling to find alternative solutions for those not yet eligible to enroll and therefore, I reached out the team at Prominence Health Plan for suggestions. They came back with a solution to allow our company to have a special Open Enrollment, where we were able to sign up every one of these new employees early in our Company Plan!
All these employees were scared and worried about themselves and the health of their loved ones and were truly grateful for this exception and act of kindness. ‘Thank you, Prominence for helping us Take Care of Others!’
Patient celebrates a non-traditional, yet great birthday at Summerlin Hospital
On my birthday, I had a partial nephrectomy. Besides losing part of my kidney, it was one of the greatest experiences I have ever had in a hospital. With respect to COVID-19, everyone was diligent and thoughtful about my immediate health concerns.
Not having any visitors during my stay was very hard, but that was understandable. The staff became my cheering squad. Every little improvement was marked with excitement and celebration. My main nurse even wrote Happy Birthday on my information/motivation board. That night at dinner she and some other nurses brought in my tray with a piece of birthday cake and ice cream, singing Happy Birthday! (it’s a good thing they’re all phenomenal health care workers because Broadway isn’t in their future!)
What do I recommend Summerlin Hospital for? Everything! From my pre-admission testing/bloodwork, pre-op, security for my phone, post-op, nursing staff, kitchen, lab, housekeeping, pharmacy…every person I had the honor to contact with provided unparalleled service.
